About the walk

The walk will take place at Lennox Gardens, Yarralumla in Canberra, ACT starting on Sunday, 7th October 2007 and is expected to be completed on Saturday, 17th November 2007.

Val will walk laps of a 2.5km circuit around Lennox Gardens on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin.

To complete 1000 miles in 1000 hours Val will need to walk a marathon every day for 42 days.

At the conclusion of the walk the inaugural “walk a mile in my shoes” charity dinner and auction will be held to recognise the achievements of both SIDS and Kids and Val Moran.
